ASO Score extension privacy policy

Last updated 26 October 2026. Applies to the ASO Score: App Store and Google Play Checker extension for Chrome, published by ApsteQ.

The short version

The extension collects no personal data. It sends nothing to ApsteQ or to anyone else. Scores stay in your browser.

What the extension reads

• The App Store or Google Play listing you have open: title, subtitle or short description, description, rating, rating count, screenshots, preview video and update date.
• For App Store listings, Apple's public iTunes lookup for the same app id, to read the rating, description, update date and languages.

It runs only on apps.apple.com and play.google.com. It does not read any other site, your browsing history, your tabs or anything you type.

What it stores

Your last 10 scores (app name, store, listing link, score and time) in Chrome's local extension storage on your device, so the toolbar popup can list them. Removing the extension deletes them.

What it does not do

• No accounts, no sign-in and no email collection.
• No analytics, tracking or advertising code.
• No remote code. Everything it runs ships inside the extension package.
• No sale or transfer of data, because there is no data to transfer.

If you click Get the full report (free) or another link to apsteq.com, that page opens in a normal tab with the listing link and campaign tags in the address. From then on the apsteq.com privacy policy applies. The full report asks for an email; the extension never does.

• Access to apps.apple.com and play.google.com: to read the listing and show the score on it.
• storage: to keep your last 10 scores on your device.
