7 Step Framework To Build And Launch Your App

By Arsh Singh|Video published May 24, 2019

In one paragraph

In this video, Arsh Singh, founder of ApsteQ, answers whether it is too late to launch an app with a seven step framework: the idea, market research, validation, a prototype or MVP, a monetization plan, a small fast launch, and patience. His answer is that it is not too late, and that the work is in following a clear order instead of getting stuck in research.

Is it too late to launch an app?

Arsh says no. He accepts that the app market is crowded, with roughly 3.8 million apps on the Play Store and 2 million on the App Store, but treats the competition as a sign of demand. His advice is to solve a real pain point for a specific audience and to expect to adjust the idea as the market responds.

What are the seven steps?

The steps are: (1) the app idea, (2) market research, (3) validating the idea with the people it is for, (4) a prototype, either wireframes or an MVP, built with a carefully chosen team, (5) a monetization strategy from day one, (6) a quick, small launch, and (7) patience for the long run.

He warns against research paralysis: some people research one idea for months or years and never act. He also says speed beats perfection, so launch an MVP, plan the next four to six months only, and improve through updates. When the MVP is ready, test it yourself and with others, and if the feedback says nobody would use it, drop the idea and move on.

What should you plan before you build?

Two things get skipped most. The first is who the app is for and what the competitors do. The second is how the app will make money, which he says should be built into the user experience from day one, with options such as free, premium, paid, in-app subscription, ads and sponsored content.

If you are at the building stage, see how we approach it on ApsteQ app development, and for the launch side see app marketing.
