Which dental marketing agency should a US practice hire in 2026?
We are the pick for implant, aligner and multi-location practices that want one full-funnel lead system: treatment-specific ads, landing pages, AI call answering and follow-up, tracked to booked consults. Choose WEO Marketly for DSO-scale programs, TNT Dental or Smile Marketing for website-led growth, Golden Proportions for branding and SEO, and Harris & Ward for orthodontic SEO.
We are one of the agencies listed, so read this with that in mind. Every competitor claim below comes from that agency's own website, checked on 6 October 2026, and we have named where each one fits better than we do. Updated October 2026.
Best Dental Marketing Agencies in the US by Practice Type
| Agency | Best for | Strength | Consider elsewhere if |
|---|---|---|---|
| ApsteQ | Implant, aligner and multi-location practices that want a full-funnel lead system | Treatment-specific Google and Meta campaigns, dedicated landing pages, AI call answering, email, SMS and WhatsApp follow-up, and tracking from click to booked consult, run as one PatientFlow System. You own your ad accounts. | You only need a website redesign or SEO, you want a one-off campaign, or you will not update landing pages and booking so we can connect them |
| WEO Marketly | DSOs and multi-location groups that want a dental-only agency | States "Dental-only since 1999"; websites, SEO, PPC, reputation management and ROI tracking integrated with practice management software | You want to start from one treatment line, such as implants, instead of a whole-practice program |
| TNT Dental | Practices where the website is the main gap | Custom dental websites, SEO, Google Ads, video and reputation management; states it does not use templates | Your bigger problem is slow lead follow-up and missed calls rather than the site |
| Smile Marketing | General, cosmetic, pediatric and orthodontic practices that want one broad, larger agency | Websites, SEO, Google and Facebook/Instagram ads, email automation and review management; states "80+ digital experts" | You want a lead system built around one treatment line instead of a broad service menu |
| Golden Proportions | Practices that want branding, a website and SEO from a dental-only agency | States "Dental marketing is what we do. And it's ALL we do"; includes call tracking and ROI software and CMO consulting | Your priority is automated lead follow-up rather than branding and consulting |
| PilotPractice | Practices that want marketing plus bundled software, including medical groups | HIPAA-compliant marketing with software for voice AI, EMR integrations, texting, scheduling, call intelligence and reviews | You want an agency whose whole focus is dentistry; its homepage leads with medical specialties |
| Harris & Ward | Orthodontic and general practices that want SEO and AI-search led growth | Dental and orthodontic specialist covering SEO, AI search, advertising and web design | Paid-led implant or aligner lead generation with automated follow-up is your priority |
The order reflects fit for the practice types in the first column, not a quality score. Agencies we could not load or verify on their own sites were left out.
Where ApsteQ fits
Our dental marketing work is built around the PatientFlow System: competitor research, then separate campaigns for each treatment (implants, aligners, root canal and general dentistry get their own), dedicated treatment landing pages, an AI voice agent that answers calls and books consults, automated follow-up by email, SMS and WhatsApp, and weekly reporting on three numbers (cost per lead, cost per booked consult, cost per acquired patient). It is built for practices where one implant or aligner case is worth more than the monthly program, including multi-location groups and DSOs.
Our proof is on public pages: verified dental client reviews, including implant specialists, an orthodontist in Los Angeles and a DSO owner in Miami, and on-camera testimonials from Dr Adeeba Adil of Rifadel Dental in Kolkata and Dr Chirag Chawan of Smiles by Dr C. For local specifics see our city pages for Houston, Dallas, Austin and Los Angeles, or the treatment pages for implants and aligners.
Where we are not the right call: a practice that needs only a new website or SEO, a clinic wanting a one-time campaign instead of a committed system build, or a practice unwilling to update its landing pages or booking system so we can integrate it.
How to Compare Dental Marketing Agencies
- Who owns the ad accounts? Your Google Ads, Meta, Google Business Profile and call-tracking accounts should be opened in your name, with the agency as a user. If the agency owns them, your campaign history leaves when the relationship ends. Ask for admin access on day one.
- Do they report cost per booked consult, or cost per lead? A cheap lead that never answers the phone is not cheap. Ask to see cost per lead, cost per booked consult and cost per acquired patient side by side. Agencies that only show leads and clicks are showing you the top of the funnel.
- Is the funnel treatment-specific? Someone searching "dental implants cost" and someone searching "teeth cleaning near me" have different urgency and budgets. One generic "dental clinic" campaign cannot serve both. Look for separate campaigns and landing pages per treatment.
- Is call tracking in place? Many dental inquiries arrive as phone calls, not forms. Without call tracking and call recording, you cannot say which ad produced which booked patient. Ask what happens to a call at 9 pm.
- What happens after the lead arrives? Speed of response is where most practices lose patients. Ask who calls back, how fast, and how no-shows are recovered.
What Does Dental Marketing Cost in the US?
We do not publish a rate card, because scope depends on market, treatments and number of locations. These are third-party ranges, with their limits stated:
- Google Ads benchmarks: PPC Chief reports an average dental cost per click of $7.85 and cost per lead of $83.93 in 2026, compiled from WordStream and other benchmark studies. See PPC Chief dental Google Ads costs.
- Agency retainers: Vizisites states that most dental agencies charge retainers of $1,500 to $5,000+ per month, without citing a source or date. See Vizisites dental marketing budgets.
- Cost per new patient: Dentx compiles a range of $150 to $400 per new dental patient, and says it is a reference band built from trade reporting, not one dataset. See Dentx cost per new dental patient.
Treat all three as directional. Ad spend is normally billed separately from agency fees, so ask for both numbers. Our dental marketing agency cost guide goes deeper.
Questions to Ask on the First Call
- Will the ad accounts, call tracking and landing pages be in my name, and can I export them if we part ways?
- Which three numbers will you report weekly, and does one of them stop at the lead?
- How many campaigns will you run for implants (or aligners), and what does each landing page look like?
- What happens to a call or form fill outside office hours, and how fast is the first response?
- How do you connect to my practice management system so bookings and collected revenue are tied back to the ad?
- What will you need from my front desk, and what do you do if the calls are not being converted?
- What is the contract term, and what do I keep if I leave?
What the First 90 Days Should Look Like
- Month 1, foundation: account access in your name, conversion and call tracking verified end to end, competitor research, treatment landing pages live, follow-up sequences and call handling tested before ad spend scales.
- Month 2, learning: search terms reviewed weekly, negatives added, ad and landing page variants tested, and the first real cost per booked consult read from clean data.
- Month 3, decision: keep what books consults, cut what does not, and decide whether to scale spend based on cost per acquired patient rather than lead volume.
Be wary of any agency that promises a patient count in week one. Paid campaigns need data before they can be judged, and tracking errors in month one are common.
